This is a custom ground dog box kit specifically suited for the do it your-selfer who wants the utmost strength out of their 01E quattro transmission.

This kit consists of a new ground main shaft, dog-rings, hardened and ground 1-6 gear, new hollow shaft, dog rings, shift forks, new seals, and gasket.

The straight cut gears have an optimized tooth pattern which reduces traditional gear whine associated with straight cut gearboxes, and dog-tooth engagement provide lightning quick shifts without having to fully disengage the clutch.Straight cut gears eliminate thrusting forces created by spiral gears, giving this gearbox the ability to handle in excess of 800 ft/lbs of torque.

Ratios are optimized for drag use only but custom ratios can be ground as a no-added cost option

These parts are recommend for drag race cars only, and not recommended for street use due to the noise, vibration and harshness that straight cut gear produce.
